Select, paint, isolate, and hide MEP system elements in Revit with six one-click actions. Filter by view or project, pick one or many systems, and apply across thousands of elements in seconds.
One dialog lists every piping and duct system in your project. Select one or many, hit an action, and the change applies instantly across all matching elements — pipes, fittings, accessories, ducts, and equipment.
Pick any number of system types from the list and select every matching pipe, duct, fitting, accessory, and piece of equipment in your project or view.
⋏ SELECTApply surface and line color overrides with adjustable transparency. RGB sliders, brand preset swatches, and live preview — all in a single picker.
Surface + LineTemporarily isolate selected system elements in the active view. Everything else fades to neutral so you can focus on the run you’re inspecting.
⊙ ISOLATESame focused isolation, but Revit links stay visible. Perfect for coordinating MEP work against architectural and structural backgrounds.
Keep links visibleHide selected system elements from the current view without affecting visibility anywhere else in the project. Reverse it in one click.
□ HIDERemove every surface and line override applied earlier. One pass returns selected systems to their original Revit graphics.
⊘ RESETType in the search box to live-filter the system list by name. The result count updates as you type. Clear the field to see every system again.
Switch between Entire Project and Current View to control which systems appear in the list. View scope is faster on large models and only counts what’s visible.
Hold Ctrl for non-adjacent picks, Shift for a range. Every action button operates on the full selection at once.
The color picker splits into two tabs. Surface Color includes a transparency slider; Line Color controls outline appearance. Each tab carries its own preset palette.
Three RGB sliders with numeric entry give precise color control. A fourth slider sets surface transparency from 0–100%. The preview swatch updates live.
A row of brand presets covers the colors MEP teams use most. One click loads the values into the RGB sliders and the preview — ready to apply.
Six imperative buttons line the bottom: Select, Select & Paint, Isolate, Isolate w/ Links, Hide, Strip Colors. One click runs the action across every selected system.
Every paint, hide, or isolate runs inside a single Revit transaction — fully undoable from the Revit Undo stack with one keystroke.
MEP System Selector ships as a bundled MSI package. Run the installer and the add-in registers itself automatically for every supported Revit version on the machine — no manual file copying or config edits required.
Obtain the latest MEPSystemSelector-Setup.msi from your Motion-Site distribution package or the Autodesk App Store.
Double-click the MSI and follow the prompts. The installer detects Revit 2022–2026 and places all files in the correct add-ins folder automatically.
Open any Revit project. The MotionSite tab appears in the ribbon — click MEP System Selector to get started.
